Um auto-retrato em tamanho natural, com o próprio artista a posar frente a um espelho e a medir-se a si próprio. A vista não é a do espelho mas sim a de um observador que estivesse no seu lugar. Aristides Meneses tinha, na altura, 25 anos.
This is a selft portrait in real dimensions, with the artist in front of a mirror measuring himself. The view is not the one given by the mirror but from someone standing in its place. Aristides Meneses was 25 years old at the time.

A desintegração anti-fotónica é a principal referência explícita na obra de Aristides Meneses às teorias da relatividade e à física quântica. O anti-fotão é sempre negro, como gotas de escuridão, por oposição ao fotão, que pode ser compreendido como partículas de luz.
The anti photonic disintegration is the main explicit reference to the theory of relativity and quantum physics. The anti photon is always black, like drops of darkness, while the photon can be understood as a particle of light. |
